Day 5 - At sea.

Today we sailed for Puerto Limon in Costa Rica.

A relaxing day onboard, drinking teas, coffee, hot chocolate and cocktails.

The weather was overcast, but it was still very warm outside.

Day 4 -Roatan, Honduras and zip lines

At 7.00 am Equinox docked at Roatan island, off the coast of Honduras. Today Louise and I had the zip-line adventure booked.

After getting harnessed up we zipped though the tree canopy along 12 zip-lines across a large ravine.

We then headed for Tybiana beach, on the south of the island, and meet up with Barbara and Eric there to enjoy the sun, sand and snorkelling along a reef with some very colourful fish.

Day 3 - Cozumel, Mexico and Segways

We arrived at dock in Cozumel just before 7.00 am. We were docked beside Royal Caribbean's ship Jewel is the Seas.

We met our guide on the pier, as we were going a Segway adventure.
Safety brief over, we all got our own Segway, and began to practice. A little shaky at first, but we soon got the hang of it and were on our way along the coast of Cozumel on our Segways.

The sea was too rough rough for snorkelling, so we had extra time on the Segways.
The Segways were super fun, and we finished of the afternoon with a quick walk round the shops, and then a visit to Senor Frogs bar where anything can happen!

Day 2- at sea.

After leaving Port Everglades our second day was spent at sea, sailing for Cozumel, an island just off the coast of Mexico.

Unfortunately the seas were rough, so it was not the most enjoyable trip for some.

Last morning in Fort Lauderdale

Had a disaster of a morning, we went to Joe's for breakfast again, but they had run out rice crusties, so we have decided not to come back here for breakfast!

But otherwise breakfast was good.

All packed and ready for boarding later today.

The beach.

Today we went to the Fort Lauderdale beach, it was miles long and lovely and blue. The water was cold at first, but once you got in it was very pleasant.

The were thousands of people on the beach, but it was so big there was plenty of room.

Strange to be swimming in the sea in New Years day with no wetsuit on!

We also got to see a Carnival cruise ship sail out to sea.

Happy new year!

Last night we went into downtown Fort Lauderdale to a huge street party to bring in the new year.

We then were lucky enough to catch the last water taxi back to the hotel.
